Muse's 6th Period: Directions: Analyze the following quotes. Do not...
1) An ingenious American beyond his time, Thomas Edison, once enunciate, "I have not failed, I've just found 10, 000 ways that don't work. " With this proclamation, he identifies that not everything you plan out will always work as you expected. However, with the many dissatisfactions, one can hopefully learn to improve and build up from your mistakes. Mistakes are only entities that propel all people to realize their shortcomings and perfect any imperfection. 2) John Wayne, a well known man in the American Western Film Industry, once said, "Courage is being scared to death- and saddling up anyway. " In these words, he emphasizes that courage is an impassable determination to make because it takes courage to outwit fear. There is no easy shortcut to life, but there are the hardships and struggles that one must takes to succeed his undertakings. In other works, an individual can't simply overcome something he/she fears by wishing it didn't exist. He/she must acknowledge that fear and attack it because the rewards will be most satisfying, if the individual realizes the journey that he/she has overcome.
